Hi, my name is Summer. I want to share with you how Jesus Christ changed my life. 

The day of my salvation was a day I will never forget and will always cherish, but there is another equally important day, and that is when I dedicated my life to live for Christ. 

See, I believed at the age of 9 that Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and that He rose from the dead on the third day; and I knew I was a sinner, but one thing I didn’t quite understand was that I needed to live for Him. I had been bought with a price; the shed blood of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that Christ saved me as a little girl, but it wasn’t until my mid twenties when I became tired of the life I was living that I went searching for something more. I was tired of the mundane. Wake up, get ready, get the kids ready, get them to school, go to work, come home, cook supper, give the kids a bath, go to sleep, then repeat it all over again. Day after day, the same thing, and for what purpose? There had to be more to life than this. My life felt empty and yet I had just about everything. There was such a void in my life. 

The Lord was drawing me to himself. I attended a local church where the Bible was preached. I met new people who seemed to care about me. They would reach out when I didn’t show up. They would randomly give me meals to take home. It wasn’t too long when I realized that I wanted this to be my life. These people were different. I could tell that they loved the Lord and wanted to do right by Him. I wanted this also, so I met with a couple of ladies and prayed with them, telling the Lord that I wanted to live for Him. I wanted to get rid of how I was living. I knew there was a purpose in my life far beyond the mundane life I was living without Christ. 

I began to get serious about the things of the Lord and the Bible, for I so badly wanted to know Him deeply. Ever since then I have been continually shaped by Him. He has changed life in so many ways and I have found purpose in this life and no longer feel the void which I once felt. 

The Bible says: 

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” - Galations 2:20

You can have this, too! Christ came to save YOU and GIVE YOU a purpose in this life. He’s meeting you right where you’re at. Don’t wait until it’s too late. You’ll meet Him one day, whether you accept Him or not. If you’re reading this, it’s because He is reaching out to you. He is calling your name! Will you answer?
